The film Circle of Friends based on Maeve Binchy's novel has its Irish premiere in Dublin.

Set in 1950s Ireland, 'Circle of Friends' stars Chris O'Donnell as Jack Foley and Minnie Driver as Bernadette "Benny" Hogan.

Circle of Friends is a story of young love and three best friends, their loyalty, secrets, betrayals and most of all their men.

Chris O'Donnell and Minnie Driver were in Dublin for the Irish premiere. While the film is set in 1950s Ireland, Chris O'Donnell believes that everyone will be able to relate to the story of first love. He describes at as,

A coming of age story.

 Maeve Binchy who wrote the novel 'Circle of Friends' beleives that the film is in keeping with the book.

Already a big hit in the United States the film has been in the top ten at the box office since opening two months ago.

Director and Irish filmmaker Pat O’Connor believes that the attraction to the film is in the storytelling which audiences like.

The film also features Alan Cumming, Colin Firth, Aidan Gillen, Saffron Burrows, Geraldine O'Rawe, Mick Lally, Britta Smith, Ciarán Hinds, Tony Doyle and Jason Barry.
