The town of Rathangan in county Kildare is recovering after a night of celebrations following the victory of local man Brian Dowling in the reality TV game show 'Big Brother'.
Almost four and a quarter million people cast telephone votes making Brian Dowling the winner of the second Big Brother series and the £70,000 prize.
Reporter Bethan Kilfoil speaks to Rathangan locals who had packed the local pub to support Brian Dowling for the Big Brother finale.
Rathangan hasn't seen so much excitement, tension or relief for many years. But now everybody here in Rathangan is waiting for Brian and of course his family to come home.
As well as winning the money, Brian has won legions of fans and the promise of a television career.
