The RDS in Dublin is busy for day three of the Spring Show.

For the third day, and with the finest weather of the week so far, patrons from town and country head to the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) in Ballsbridge, Dublin for the 145th Spring Show. This year due to the opening of the Simmonscourt extension and a new pavilion, the crowds are accommodated with ease.

There are a large number of farm machinery displays and demonstrations prove popular with visitors. Another display of an agricultural nature involves a butcher giving a demonstration of trimming and boning out a side of beef. For youngsters, there is judging of children's ponies. Later on in the day is the Macra na Feirme regional farm task competition.
