Fine weather forecast for the holiday weekend sees people head to Bray, Dublin Zoo and Leopardstown Races.
Córas Iompair Éireann (CIÉ) has reported an increase in calls enquiring about bank holiday services and has laid on extra buses and trains to the east coast of Ireland. Water based activities are proving popular in Dalkey and Sandycove.
But like all good things, the holidays must come to an end, and then begins the inevitable traffic jams with heavy congestion in all provincial centres.
