'Exhibit A' visits Galway and reflects on the work of the Druid Theatre 10 years after it was established.

Presenter Declan Kiberd explains how Druid was established in 1975 by Garry Hynes, Marie Mullen and Mick Lally, and since then has staged over 70 productions.

Druid rediscovered a joyous physicality in works as different as The Playboy of the Western World and The Beggar's Opera.

The establishment of Druid has put a new focus on theatre in Galway.

This report includes short excerpts from Tom Murphy's play 'Bailegangaire', and MJ Molloy's 'The Wood of the Whispering'.

Aindreas Ó Gallchoir speaks to actor, co-founder and amateur carpenter Mick Lally about the growth of the Galway based Druid Theatre from small beginnings.

This episode of 'Exhibit A' was broadcast on 10 February 1986.
