A visit to Cashel to see the work of a silversmith.
Pádraig Ó Mathúna from Cashel county Tipperary still practises the ancient art of silver work. In his studio he beats a flat sheet of silver into shape with a hammer on a wooden stake. The piece is then patiently beaten again on an iron stake.
A thousand tiny blows beat shimmer and sheen into the surface.
