Derval O'Rourke on running a personal best to win a silver medal at the European Championships in Barcelona.
This was a second European silver for Derval O'Rourke who had also come second in the 100 hurdles at the 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg and set a new Irish record each time.
O'Rourke talks about how her joy at winning a silver medal is tinged with regret that it was not gold. As for what she's thinking while running:
My thoughts are so simple. I'm thinking, run like hell, kill them, go, go, kill them. I never think about running fast.... The hurdles are just, I think get every hurdle out of the way, get it out of the way and move on to the next one.
