Ulster Football Championship action neighbours Cavan and Monaghan battle at Clones.
Cavan faced Monaghan at Clones in the 1995 Ulster Football Championship. The Cavan heroes on the day were goalkeeper Paul O'Dowd and Fintan Cahill. Cahill scored 1-03 from play which included a fine goal. Goalkeeper Paul O'Dowd was villain turned hero when he brought down Monaghan's Padraig McShane to give away a penalty but then saved Declan Smyth's shot.
The final score was Cavan 1-09 Monaghan 0-10.
