No goals but delight for Cavan supporters with victory over Armagh in Ulster Championship.

A packed Breffni Park watch Cavan gain revenge for previous year's defeat to Armagh. For Cavan big full forward Ollie Leddy caused all kinds of trouble for the Armagh defence while his team mate Donal Donohue was the game's highest scorer with six points. Armagh had the best chance of a goal in the first half when Peter Loughran was put through but his shot went over for a point. 

Kerry football great Mick O'Connell was among the interested spectators at Breffni Park. Cavan got a grip on the game in the second half with some well taken points from Donal Donohue. Armagh had another goal chance but Colm McKinstrey's shot was blocked. By the time Paddy McGovern scored a free to put Cavan six points ahead commentator Seán Óg Ó Ceallacháin was describing the end of Armagh's reign,
