Horror actor Boris Karloff arrived in Cork on 18 September 1964 for the International Film Festival.

Best known for his role as Frankenstein's monster in films such as 'Frankenstein' (1931) and 'The Bride of Frankenstein' (1935).

Boris Karloff talks to Kevin O'Kelly about the public's perception of him. People say that they are frightened after watching him on screen, but Karloff doesn't believe a word of it.

I know that I'm supposed to frighten people but I don't believe a word of it. I meet children and chaps on the street and they say I saw you in a film last night and I just didn't sleep a wink.
