Members of the Defence Forces compete on a tough orienteering course in Bansha Wood, Tipperary.
Teams from the Curragh Training Camp, Southern Command and the Military College spent a weekend running and navigating tough Tipperary terrain in the All Ireland Army Orienteering Championships. The teams competed on a six mile course where thirty three checkpoints had to be recorded in the fastest possible time.
The shortest route didn't always provide the easiest of going.
The Curragh Training Camp emerged as winners, with Southern Command taking second place, and cadets of the Military College coming third.
