A demonstration at the Nigerian Embassy in Dublin calls for humanitarian aid for the people of Biafra.

Over a hundred members of the Irish Movement for Peace in Nigeria-Biafra took part in a protest at the Nigerian Embassy in Ballsbridge, Dublin. The protesters carried a banner which read 'Feed Biafrans' and two white coffins bearing the inscriptions 'Biafra, 1969' to the gates of the embassy.

A letter was delivered to the embassy appealing to the Nigerian government to allow relief and medical supplies into Biafra. The letter was handed in by Oliver Donoghue, a member of the Movement for Peace in Nigeria-Biafra.

This protest to the Nigerian Embassy in Ireland is meant to convey the deep concerns felt by the Irish people of the terrible plight of their fellow human beings. Please let relief in now.
