An anti-apartheid demonstration took place in Rathmines, Dublin and stopped a cricket match between Ireland and an all-white South African team.
The demonstration took place at the Leinster Cricket Grounds, Rathmines in Dublin.
Shortly after play began, members of the Coordinating Committee Against Racialism and Apartheid, occupied the cricket pitch. The protesters were forcibly removed by Gardaí.
