Tá Raidió na Life ag céiliúradh bliain ar an aer. The Dublin Irish language radio station celebrates one year on air.
The Dublin Irish language radio station first went on air on 25 September 1993. Broadcasting from studios within the offices of Bord na Gaeilge on Merrion Square, Raidió na Life offers music, news and talk shows as Gaeilge, to Gaeilgeoirí (speakers of Irish) in Dublin city and county.
Over the last twelve months the radio station has established itself on the capital's airwaves, says Deirdre Ní Dhálaigh, advertising manager with Raidió na Life,
Tá sé go h-an mhaith an méid tacaíocht a bhfuaireamar go dtí anois.
Owned by the non profit community co-operative Comharchumann Raidió Átha Cliath Teoranta (CRÁCT), Raidió na Life is run on a community radio station model. A large number of the staff work on a voluntary basis, enabling Raidió na Life to provide a diversity of content not found on commercial stations,
Gach cineál clár a bheith ann.
With a primarily urban and evening time listenership, Raidió na Life does not see itself in competition with Raidió na Gaeltachta, as it is,
Dírithe go mór i dtreó Bleá Cliath agus na contaetha timpeall air.
This episode of 'Cúrsaí' was broadcast on 7 November 1994. The presenter is Audrey Ní Fhearghail.
