Cornelius Ward has spent many years in the music business. At the age of 17, he replaced the original lead singer of Magic and The Magic Band. From 1979 he performed as Magic before joining An Garda Síochána in 1983. Since leaving the Templemore Garda Training Centre, Cornelius Ward has carried out charity work, particularly in the Galway area.
