Ceremony at Cobh recalls all those who lost their lives on the Titanic.

The Titanic had stopped at Cobh to board Irish passengers before continuing an ill-fated journey across the Atlantic in April 1912.

Members of the Irish American Titanic Society laid a wreath on the water to remember all those who died.

In Cobh, the first memorial in the town to the Titanic was unveiled by Liam Burke TD. Amongst those in attendance was Titanic survivor Millvina Dean (Eliza Gladys Dean) who was too young to remember anything about the disaster. Relatives of others who died in the tragedy also attended.

Cobh now has a Titanic Trail where visitors can follow the town's association with the liner.
