How long will it be before every town in the south east has its own festival?
Kilkenny is running a beer festival for the fifth time. The city has plenty of experience with festivals having already hosted the Kilkenny Cat Competition and a folk song competition. Other towns in the south east of Ireland also famous for their festivals like Enniscorthy, which hosts an annual Strawberry Fair.
Bill Finnegan, organiser of the Kilkenny Beer Festival, is not concerned about competition from other events in the region.
