Owners of modified cars show how they have altered their vehicles at the RDS in Dublin.
The RDS (Royal Dublin Society) is the place to be this weekend for anyone interested in modified cars. More a labour of love than a hobby, these car owners have spent thousands of euro on bodywork, engines and alloy wheels.
Altering the look is also about the car’s interior – leather seats, high quality sound systems and integrated gaming consoles to name but a few features. Derek Troy explains that is a way of life and a great hobby that many car enthusiasts are happy to spend their money on,

The modified car movement is growing across Ireland, and is primarily a male dominated field. Women are interested in cars too, as one female visitor tells RTÉ News why she has come to this particular type of car show,
