In a strange dream Niamh Walsh encounters Maurice Pratt and a Michael Jackson in Dún Laoghaire.

Presenter Niamh Walsh is asleep on a park bench in the coastal town of Dún Laoghaire in County Dublin. She dreams she must find the British synthpop duo Erasure. In Dún Laoghaire Shopping Centre she stops shoppers in hope that one of them will be able to tell her when she is due to meet the band.

Niamh Walsh bumps into the Quinnsworth marketing manager Maurice Pratt who asks,

What are you doing here and you’re wearing your pyjamas, are you asleep?

Niamh Walsh then comes across a man called Michael who looks and sounds incredibly like the American singer Michael Jackson. Michael is looking for a good bed and breakfast in the area. As Niamh Walsh cannot help him, Michael asks a traffic warden. An elderly lady intervenes, offering to bring Michael to a very good lodging. In return for the act of kindness he presents her with a cassette of the Michael Jackson 1991 album ‘Dangerous’.

At Avondale House bed and breakfast on Northumberland Avenue the proprietor is happy to provide Michael with vegetarian food during his stay, but will not be able to accommodate his pet monkey.

This episode of ‘Jo-Maxi’ was broadcast on 2 December 1992. The presenter is Niamh Walsh.
