Life on board the Irish Pine a vessel from the fleet of the state owned Irish Shipping Limited.

Marking 21 years of Irish Shipping Limited, 'Broadsheet' takes a trip on board the Irish Pine from Dublin to Cork

When a ship sails, when all the preparations are complete and her orders are on board, when the anchor is got in by the men on the focus of head, then her true life starts as she leaves her anchorage and the voyage begins.

A description of the workings on board a ship as it breaks it departs and sets sail. As the Irish Pine leaves Dublin port heading down the east coast of Ireland to Cork, we get an insight into the workings of the ship from the engine room, to the galley kitchen and the wheel of the ship.
