A Wexford couple is celebrating the birth of their quintuplets at the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin.
The babies were delivered by cesarean section and weigh between one and a half pounds and one pound and eleven ounces. Parents Veronica and Kevin Cassidy, from the village of Bridgetown in County Wexford are said to be absolutely delighted with their new arrivals.
The people of Bridgetown have been talking about nothing else all day.
Peggy Jones from Bridgetown says that everyone in the village is on cloud nine with the news.
Fr Danny McDonald describes a local annual tradition to visit the nearby Holy Well to celebrate the patron saint of mothers.
