A parade in Dublin on the second Sunday in June celebrates Children's Day.
This is the 22nd year of the event with up to five thousand people taking part with the aim of highlighting the needs of children.
Crowds gathered along the route from St Stephen's Green passing a reviewing stand outside the GPO on O'Connell Street in Dublin.
A cross section of youth organisations participated in the parade. A peace group from Belfast, Disney characters, majorettes, Irish dancing groups, scouts and guide all took part in the fun.
Among the dignitaries in attendance were the Lord Mayor of Dublin Michael Keating and Minister of State George Berminigham.
