Mother of two and a Cork shop assistant becomes a Mensa member after achieving intelligence test high score.
Teresa Fitzsimmons is regarded as having a super brain in the same league as Albert Einstein and in the top one per cent of the most intelligent people on the planet.
Placing her among the world's top brains.
The 38 year old mother of two was not over impressed by all the fuss. Teresa Fitzsimmons works as an assistant at Dunnes Stores in Douglas, Cork. She took a test for Mensa after growing tired of being described as "just a housewife".
Teresa smashed through the 160 barrier.
The test results place her amongst the world’s top brains. She believes that intelligence is both born and bred in a person. If it is not nurtured, it simply goes away. Despite having a very good education, she has not yet had the opportunity to do well in a career. Teresa Fitzsimmons is currently doing an arts degree through the Open University.
