Gardai in Cork run to raise much need funds for the charity Abode.

Cork city and county Gardaí have been in training for several weeks for a charity run to raise money for the Abode group in Cork.

The long arm of the law and some legs as well are reaching out for money in Cork and doing pretty well at it.

The money will go towards the construction of a hostel for those with physical disabilities. The fundraising event also demonstrates the relationship between the police and the public. Garda Michael O'Halloran explains that it is another way for them to help the community that they serve every day as members of the Gardaí.
