Don Saint John and his trusty horse 'Steady' saddle up for a five-month long journey into the wild west of Ireland from Cork to Donegal.
The journey of a lifetime for one American chap who has come back to Ireland to this rugged landscape to ride on horseback from here, Castletownbere in West Cork right up the west as far as Donegal.

What I wanted to do is see Ireland at a slow pace.
Don Saint John had previously worked in Ireland in the 1980s but never had the time to really see the country. So he decided to do it on horseback. An owner of horses for around ten years Don quite a bit of riding as a young boy and has experience of cattle roundups in Utah.
