Uilleann piper Seán Óg Potts opens the show 'The Pure Drop' performing two jigs 'Jackson's Morning Brush' and 'Paudeen O'Rafferty'.

Seán Óg chats to Paddy Glackin about growing up in,

An illustrious family in the traditional music field.

Seán Óg's father, also called Seán, played the whistle, there was no competition between them and he was very much encouraged to play music growing up. His great grandfather John Potts from Wexford also played the pipes and there was always music in the Potts family home in Dublin.

Seán Óg says Liam Flynn from Planxty, and Seamus Ennis were influences on his playing.

This episode of 'The Pure Drop' presented by Paddy Glackin was broadcast on 9 December 1991.
