Unemployed Galway man has taken a novel approach to job-seeking by utilising a high-profile billboard and social media campaign.

Out of work for almost a year, marketing graduate Feilim Mac An Iomaire from Inverin in Galway has spent the last of his savings renting a billboard on the Merrion Road in Dublin to attract attention to his availability for work. The billboard poster which brands him as ‘Jobless Paddy’ is also accompanied by a Facebook and Twitter campaign.

Disillusioned with sending out CVs with little or no return, Feilim Feilim Mac An Iomaire came up with this novel way to job-seek which also demonstrates his creative side. So far

The response has been absolutely brilliant and everyone has been really positive about it.

Ultimately he would like to work in marketing or advertising and is hopes his concept will help achieve this goal. If not, he fears he will have no option but to emigrate from Ireland.
