A new exhibition The Sketchbooks of Jack B. Yeats 1897-1955 opens at the National Gallery of Ireland tomorrow.
In the 1980s the television series 'Eye of the Artist' was devoted to Irish artists represented in the National Gallery. In this extract from the series former director of the gallery James White looks at the work of Jack B Yeats.
'Eye of the Artist' was a 13 part series examining some of the pictures created by Irish artists down the years and held by the National Gallery of Ireland. The series was produced and directed by Bill Skinner.
