'Satchmo' Louis Armstrong the great jazz trumpet player and singer arrives at the Adelphi cinema, Dublin where he is to perform with his All Stars.
Louis Armstong is met by a jazz band on the tarmac at Dublin Airport. Satchmo and his All Stars band were to play 2 concerts to almost 4,000 people. The band members were Joe Muranyi on clarinet, Danny Barcelona on percussion, Buddy Catlett on bass, Tyree Glen on trombone, Marty Napoleon on piano, and Jewel Brown on vocals.
Louis Armstrong arrives at the Adelphi cinema, by car and is greeted by fans and journalists. The bilingual programme 'Féach' was there to meet the jazz legend.
Promoter John Moloney explains that Louis Armstrong will give interviews between the shows. Louis Armstrong and musicians, warm up in their dressing room before the camera follows them on stage to huge applause.
After the show in a crowded dressing room Louis Armstrong speaks to reporter John Ross.
