A boating accident has occurred in a Loughrea lake in which two men Norman Dowling and John Mitchell drowned.
The early morning search operation was coordinated by an Aer Corps helicopter and sub aqua divers were in action at first light.
The body of 52-year-old Norman Dowling was recovered a few hundred yards from shore.
