Tina performs 'Cross Your Heart' Ireland's entry in the Eurovision Song Contest.
The 1974 Eurovision Song Contest was held in Brighton, England. Luxembourg won the competition in both 1972 and 1973 but declined to hold the event again due to the expense. The BBC agreed to stage the contest which took place at the Brighton Dome.
Ireland was represented by Tina (Philomena Quinn) with the song 'Cross Your Heart' composed by Chips showband musician Paul Lyttle.
Ireland was placed seventh of seventeen competing countries, however the song was a number one hit in the Irish charts. The 1974 Eurovision Song Contest was won by Swedish pop group ABBA with the song ‘Waterloo’.
In this promotional video for 'Cross Your Heart', Tina performs the song in an open-top car driving around Saint Stephen's Green, and while walking around the streets of Dublin.
