An initiative in County Limerick has started a cooperative forestry project.
This community private forestry scheme has been developed by Limerick Project Forestry Ltd., a group of forty shareholders, most of whom are young farmers.
A sixteen hectare site at Athea near the Limerick Kerry border is being planted with Sitka spruce and ash trees.
