Sections of the seafront and Victorian promenade at Bray are in danger of collapsing into the sea.
Local representatives in County Wicklow are concerned that parts of the promenade sturcture may fall into the sea. If this were to happen the Office of Public Works (OPW) would be left with a huge reconstruction job.
Members of the Bray Urban Council are annnoyed that the OPW has not yet agreed to carry out a survey to establish exactly what needs to be done to protect the promenade. The council is now seeking a meeting with the Minister for Finance and the Commissioner of Public Works to urge them to take action.
