Killarney Junior Chamber makes recommendations for the future use of Kenmare House.
Overlooking the lakes of Killarney, a report has stressed that Kenmare House should remain accessible to visitors and the people of Kerry.
Killarney Junior Chamber of Commerce published the report with suggestions on the future use of Kenmare House and its 380 acre estate. The house and estate were bought by the state in June 1972 from the previous owner Mrs Beatrice Grosvenor.
The suggestions for future use of the house and lands will now be considered by the Office of Public Works (OPW) and the Department of Finance.
