The Georgian Town Hall overlooks market day at Athy in Kildare.
Following years of negotiations, Kildare County Council has bought the town hall in Athy for £9,000 from the Duke of Leinster. The building, which is still in everyday use, is marked for preservation.
The town hall overlooks Emily Square, where every Tuesday, traders set up stalls on market day in Athy.
