A television lesson for schools explains how electric power is generated.

This edition of 'Telefís Scoile' begins with a recap from presenter Ben Sherry on the previous episode explaining how an electric current is made.

A closed coil is positioned between two poles and connected to a device to measure the flow of electrical currents. If the coil is rotated between the poles of the magnet, the lines of force are cut thereby generating an electric current which can be detected on a milliammeter. This is AC or alternating current, a current flowing firstly in one direction and then in the other.

When I cut the lines of force, I generate an electric current.
