The top floor of the new Central Bank headquarters on Dame Street is lifted into place.
Designed by architects Stephenson, Gibney and Associates the new building for the Central Bank is being constructed from the top down.
It will take some days to get the top floor into place as it weighs some 500 tons. Each floor is built at ground level and lifted into place by hydraulic jacks. The building on Dame Street is the first in Ireland designed using a suspended support system .
