Many classic albums have now been re-released on vinyl and sales are rocketing.
World Record Store Day marks the return of vinyl after years when the single and the LP were replaced by digital downloads.
Sales of physical records are so high that the vinyl album chart has made a comeback after 25 years. Classic double album gatefolds, such as Led Zeppelin's 'Houses of the Holy', are proving very popular at a cost of around £30 each.
They're flying off the shelves.
It is not just old rockers and hippies buying records. Vinyl sales are also growing among younger people. Ella Birney is embracing vinyl and says you can hear different sounds when listening to records as opposed to digital downloads.
On Record Store Day in Belfast, fans queued outside the Head record store to get the latest releases and re-releases. Aidy Dunloy is rebuying his record collection, having bought a record player again five years ago. Twenty years ago, he had gotten rid of a lot of his records and replaced them with CDs. He is now replacing them again on vinyl. Angela Hunter has also just recently rediscovered vinyl and is building up her collection on Record Store Day.
