Peadar Ó Riada musician, composer and director of Cór Chúil Aodha on the choir's recent achievements.

Cór Chúil Aodha, the west Cork Gaeltacht male choir was founded by Seán Ó Riada in 1964. Following Seán Ó Riada's death in 1971, the choir continued under the direction of his eldest son the musician and composer Peadar Ó Riada.

Peadar Ó Riada highlights some of Cór Chúil Aodha’s recent activities. The choir has been to Ennis in County Clare and Macroom in County Cork. The singers have recorded a record for Gael Linn which is to be released shortly.

In October 1978 the choir performed at the Carolan Memorial Concert in St Michael's Church in Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin. They sang part of Seán Ó Riada’s 'Aifreann 2’ (‘Mass No 2’) as well as a selection of west Cork hymns and folk tunes arranged and conducted by Peadar Ó Riada.
