Traditional musician Séamus Ennis leads a rousing version of the popular song 'An Poc Ar Buille'.

This episode of the Telefís Éireann (RTÉ Television) traditional folk music series, 'Ballad Session' presented by Seán Mac Réamoinn features Séamus Ennis, The Ronnie Drew Group, The Ramblers, Anne Mulqueen, Bobby Clancy and Sharon Collen.

Seán Mac Réamoinn asks Séamus Ennis about the recent popularity of Seán Ó Sé's version of the song ‘An Poc Ar Buille’, the lyrics of which outline the exploits of a mad puck goat,

A song that would be on the top traditional 20 if there were one even though it’s been made about 20 years now.

Séamus Ennis explains that Dónall Ó Mulláin from Cúil Aodha in County Cork composed ‘An Poc Ar Buille’. He recalls Dónall Ó Mulláin performing the song in or around 1942 at the Mansion House in Dublin.
