Aslan perform 'Crazy World' at the IRMA Music Awards ceremony in the Burlington Hotel.

From Finglas in Dublin, the rock band Aslan were formed in 1982, split up in 1988 and reformed in 1993.

At the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) Awards in Dublin Burlington host 2FM DJ Dave Fanning introduces Aslan. He refers to the fall and rise in the fortunes of the band. Towards the end of the 1980s, they hit rock bottom,

But in true Lazarus form they not only rose and came back up, they rose, came back and became bigger and better than ever.

Aslan performs ‘Crazy World’. The line-up includes singer Christy Dignam, lead guitarist Joe Jewell, Tony McGuinness on bass and Billy McGuinness on guitar.

‘Crazy World’ is taken from Aslan’s second album ‘Goodbye Charlie Moonhead’ released in October 1994.
