Eggs are a popular choice at breakfast and may include ubh friochta (fried egg), ubh bhruite (boiled egg), ubh scrofa (scrambled egg), or ubh scallta (poached egg). To accompany the eggs, you could have bagún fiochta (fried bacon) ispíní (sausages) and arán friochta (fried bread). While many like to have a look at an nuachtán (the newspaper) while having breakfast.
