Christmas is a busy time for Dublin city centre stores.
Thousands of people from all over Ireland head to Dublin for the traditional Christmas shopping spree. Many parents take the opportunity to bring their children to see Santa.
At Arnott's department store on Hentry Street, Christmas trade is already up 25% on the previous year. Meanwhile in Clery's department store on O'Connell Street there is a brisk trade with many shoppers on the hunt for the perfect Christmas gifts.
