The makers of a new alcopop drink claim it boosts sexual performance.
This summer will see the launch of a new range of drinks which are using sex as their sales pitch. Roxxoff claims to boost the consumers libido. The Vintners Federation has reacted angrily to the launch of the new drink.
Nicknamed Viagra Pop, Roxxoff contains a combination of Russian vodka and Chinese herbs. Among them is the horny goat weed.
The product is due to be launched in Ireland next week. However, if the Vintners Federation of Ireland has its way, drinkers will not get a chance to try the new fruit flavoured vodka drink with that something extra to provide an aphrodisiac effect.
Joe Browne, President Vintners Federation of Ireland, is urging publicans to keep this drink off their shelves describing it as blatant exploitation of young people.
Ireland is just one of twenty countries in which Roxxoff is being launched. Chris Williams, spokesperson for Roxxoff Limited, claims they will sell up to 120 million bottles in the first year. He claims that they are marketing the product at a mature audience over the age of 18 who he says are mature enough to make a judgement about buying the drink.
