Friends of the Earth campaign against the use of plastic milk bottles.
Friends of the Earth are campaigning for a move away from use of the plastic milk bottle. The group of protesters gathered at Cornelscourt in Dublin where they handed out leaflets pointing out the advantages of using glass over plastic.

One member of the group, Patrick Dunne, outlined their main objections to the plastic milk bottle.
These bottles are made from oil which is a precious non-renewable resource and which is swiftly running out.
He points out that the use of plastic increases the problems of waste disposal. He says that the public should be educated to return their glass bottles for re-use.
We are against all non-returnable bottles.
