Choosing a song to represent Ireland at the Pan Celtic Festival.
The song chosen as the winner will be the Ireland entry to the song contest at the Pan Celtic Festival in Killarney in May. The song contest allows Celtic regions to submit songs in their own language. Entries must be a new composition written in a Celtic language. Competing areas include Brittany, Wales, the Isle of Man, Scotland and Cornwall.
Presenter Gráinne Uí Mhaitiú introduces performer Michael Davitt. Song C 'Seacht Nóiméad Déag Chun a Seacht' (Seventeen minutes to Seven) was written by Michael Davitt and Philip King. The song went on to win the contest and became Ireland's entry to the Pan Celtic Festival.
