All forms of transport old and modern on show at exhibition in Dublin.
The Century on Wheels exhibition at the RDS in Dublin has been organised by the committee of the Motor Club Premises Fund and offers examples of,
All modes of transport, ancient and modern, including horse-drawn, motorised and self-propelled.
Items on show include a 1907 International once owned by the Bianconi family. A 1914 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost is a reminder of a more elegant era. The exhibition also includes models of old Dublin trams, railway trains, cars and motorbikes.
Also on show is a selection of bicycles including boneshakers, penny farthings, and four seaters.
Coinciding with the exhibition, Dubliner Peter Matthews demonstrated his floating bicycle on the River Liffey to publicise the An Óige float in the forthcoming St Patrick's Day parade.
