The Week of Wonder is aimed at schoolchildren with events taking place throughout the country designed to encourage young people to take up careers in the engineering sector.

Margi McCarthy, manager of STEPS to Engineering, says that the exhibition hopes to teach children about the breadth of engineering.
It's an action packed week with attractions ranging from flight simulations and treasure hunts.
The exhibition even has a robot boxing ring which saw the boys take on the girls. While the girls won, Kelvin Forde from Holy Cross National School in Mahon, says that they cheated. Eoin Conway also from Holy Cross National School says that he now wants to be an engineer when he grows up.
