The route of anti-internment demonstrators marching from Dungannon to Coalisland is blocked by the army and police.
The protestors chanted "Faulkner Out!" and "Craig Out!" as they made their way along the route.
Who do we want to free? Every last internee.
The British Army and the police had constructed barricades to prevent the march proceeding along the route. The security forces were lined up behind the barricade in a show of strength. The protestors attempted to make their way through while singing "We Shall Overcome". They then scaled a ditch into an adjoining field to get round the barricade.
The Tyrone Civil Rights Resistance Committee had originally chosen the same route for the march as the first civil rights march from Coalisland to Dungannon in 1968. However, the route was changed at the last minute instead choosing to march from Dungannon to Coalisland.
