Dublin and Cork ceremonies honour revolutionary leader and Chairman of the Provisional Government of the Irish Free State Michael Collins.

Commemorations to mark the anniversary of the death of Michael Collins take place at Béal na Bláth where he died and at his grave in Glasnevin Cemetery.

Michael Collins (1890-1922) was killed in ambush on 22 August 1922.
